Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Great Britain Tahir Tagizade and Member of the country`s Parliament Javanshir Feyziyev have paid a visit to Scotland.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation has met Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament Ken Macintosh and members of the political parties representing at the Parliament.
They discussed Azerbaijani-Scottish relations, as well as cooperation in energy field. The parties also exchanged views on the activity of the Azerbaijani community operating in Scotland.
They stressed that there was potential for boosting cooperation between the two countries in trade-economic field.
The sides also agreed to strengthen inter-parliamentary relations.
The Scottish parliamentarians were informed about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They exchanged views on current state of the negotiations over the settlement of the problem.
Ambassador Tahir Tagizade signed the Parliament’s guest book.
