Armenia carried out another armed provocation against Azerbaijan on the night of April 2, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressing a meeting of the country’s Security Council.
He said it was not the first time that Armenia carried out a provocation.
President Aliyev recalled that a similar provocation was carried out several days ago along the Azerbaijani-Armenian border stretching in Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district, as a result of which, two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed.
“An adequate response was given to the Armenian armed forces,” added the president. “Armenia was put in its place.”
He went on to say that Armenia got an adequate rebuff from the Azerbaijani army during the April 2 provocation.
“An adequate response has been given to Armenia by the Azerbaijani army today,” the president said. “A very severe blow has been dealt to Armenia. Armenia has suffered huge losses.”
