OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier has met with IDPs from Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Addressing the meeting, chairman of the “Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh” Public Union, head of Shusha District Executive Authority Bayram Safarov highlighted the history and consequences of Armenia`s military aggression against Azerbaijan. “Despite resolutions of international organizations, Armenia continues its aggressive policy,” he added.
Members of the Public Union, including rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbayli and MP Rovshan Rzayev spoke of the Armenian occupation. They underlined that the United Nations adopted four resolutions demanding immediate withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from occupied Azerbaijani territories. They urged the international community and organizations to increase efforts to put an end to status-quo and ensure that Azerbaijani IDPs return to their homelands.
